Bayfield in Bloom Spring Festival begins with Garden Talk & Expo

Friday, May 11 kicks off Bayfield Wisconsin’s annual spring festival with a live broadcast of Larry Meiller’s popular Wisconsin Public Radio show “Garden Talk” in Bayfield’s lakefront pavilion. Also available before and after the show are garden expo exhibits and booths where gardening enthusiasts can talk with experts and get helpful information. While in town you can take a car or walking tour of local gardens as many Bayfield residents take special pride in displaying spring flowering gardens. Go to SuperiorTrails.com for pictures and notes on some previous Bayfield in Bloom opening weekends.  The Blooming festival lasts until mid-June and features a number of events and activities. You can get a complete listing of events and more information at the Bayfield Chamber Website.

The following weekend, May 17 – 19th, in nearby Ashland, Wisconsin at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center is the annual Chequemagon Birding & Nature Festival.
